Meal pick up time is at 11am at the north end of the hospital at door N2. 

 

Attached to each hot cooler is a route sheet that contains the contact information and directions to the client’s home.  For the protection of our clients, delivery lists must be shredded after meal delivery is complete.

 

The coolers are packed in the order of delivery and will be labeled with the client’s name on them.  If there are any special notes that a driver should be aware of, they are listed on the route sheet in the last column on the right. You are always welcome to deliver the route in any order that works best for you.  We request that all meals are delivered no later than 1pm.   

 

Each client will receive a hot meal (hot meal tray & cold meal sack).  Some clients will receive a second meal; cold deli sandwich sack (supper sack).

 

The routes do change often, so please review the directions and client notes before heading out. 

Delivery Procedure:   

 

During the pandemic, meal delivery is being made directly to client coolers.  If a cooler along with a frozen ice pack is NOT sitting out, please call the client to see if they are home and maybe forgot to set the cooler or ice pack out.  If they are home, ask them to set the cooler out so you can place the meal inside, then they can pick it up after you step away.   

 

As long as there is a cooler and frozen ice pack sitting out, there is no reason to wait for them to come out and pick up their meal.  Please see client instructions as to how to notify the client that their meal has been delivered

 

Please DO NOT leave the meal sitting out if there is no cooler/ice pack available.  This is for the safety of the client.

If you have any issues or concerns during delivery, please call the office.  The office is staffed until 1pm each delivery day.

Cooler Drop off Locations:

 

  • Pittsboro Fire Department – West end of town; Main St.

  • Brownsburg Fire Department – Main Street – enter the double set of wooden doors that face Main St.

  • Avon United Methodist Church – 6850 US Hwy 36, Avon; Brown wooden box located in the alcove on the East side of the church – facing the Kroger gas station.

  • Plainfield Friends Apts. 305 S. East St., complex lobby – located on the North side of the main building.

  • HRH/Danville – enter Door N2.

What should I do if....

The client needs a bigger/new/clean/different cooler?  Please call or email the MOW office.

 

If there is food from the day before still in the cooler?  Please take the old food and discard of it.  Please then call the client to ensure they are okay.  If you cannot reach the client please call the emergency contact and if they cannot be reached please call the office.
